What is the expected delivery time?

We aim to deliver our products within 2-3 weeks. After you have placed an order, you will be contacted by email and/or telephone to arrange a suitable delivery day and time.

What is your return policy?

Different return conditions apply to each product, you can find these in our return policy.

Can I return my product if I am not satisfied?

That is possible. We don't like dissatisfied customers, so please let us know immediately if you want to return a product. Together we will then look for a suitable solution. Please also see our returns policy for more information about returns.

What are the delivery and installation costs?

Selé charges €75 delivery costs per order within the Netherlands. If you want to use the installation service, the costs are as follows:

- Assembly service in the Netherlands €150

- Assembly service in Belgium €200

If you want delivery outside the Netherlands, we will contact you to to tailor your wishes. Delivery costs may be charged for this shipment. Please contact us if you have any questions about this:

What is the exchange policy for the mattresses?

A new mattress can sometimes take some getting used to. Your body may need about 4 to 6 weeks to get used to a new mattress. If you prefer a harder or softer mattress, it is possible to exchange the mattress for a mattress of a different hardness once within 90 days of delivery, for which we only charge the transport costs.

If you would like to make use of this, please contact and always state the name of the person who placed the order and the relevant order number (can be found in the order confirmation email). We will contact you within 2 working days.

How do I know which mattress is most suitable for me?

Our Serenea mattress is available in 3 different firmnesses - light, regular and firm. Research has shown that height and body weight are one of the most important indicators for choosing the right firmness. You can find the mattress advice on the product page of the mattress.In addition to these guidelines, your choice also depends on your personal preference.

Please note: If you have a back or other serious physical complaints, we always recommend that you first seek advice from a specialist, such as a physiotherapist or osteopath.

Where can I try the mattress?

You can test our Serenea mattress in our studio in Staringplein 13, Amsterdam. Please plan a visit or contact to make an appointment.

How long does it take before I get used to a new mattress?

Give yourself time to get used to the mattress, which in some cases can take several weeks. This has to do with the fact that your body has to get used to the new support.

What is the lifespan of the mattress?

The Serenea mattress is produced from the best and most durable material, namely Vita Talalay® Latex. This is a natural and sustainable latex with a unique open cell structure, made from milk sap from the rubber tree. Our mattress can easily last more than 10 years without loss of quality or mold formation.

Should I turn the mattress?

No, it is not necessary to turn or turn the Serenea mattress. This is due to the following two main reasons:

1) The perfect composition and structure of the mattress. Years of experience in the high segment have led to this and this is reflected in the feedback that our production partner receives from its customers.

2) The high-quality material used, namely 100% Vita Talalay in all layers of the mattress. The unique open cell structure ensures excellent ventilation and excellent resilience.

What wood types and finishes are available?

The 18° bed is available in three different types, each with a good protective oil that hardens. The options are as follows:

1) European oak with transparent lacquer

2) North American walnut with transparent lacquer

3) European oak with matte black lacquer

Can I order a bed alone, without a mattress?

Yes, this is certainly possible. You can order all products separately or combined, the choice is yours.

Can the bed be assembled/disassembled?

Yes, the 18° bed is designed in such a way that it can always be assembled/disassembled and can easily be taken along with every move. The manual is included and also sent digitally.

Why do you produce with solid wood and can you tell me more about the wood that is used?

We choose wood because of the beauty and nice, warm feeling of the material. But also because it is a 'bio-based' material and lasts longer than, for example, veneered plywood. Wood is a natural product that stores CO2. That's why we try to make timeless products that last a long time. We only use the highest quality wood, for function and aesthetics. The wood we use is FSC certified, which means that it comes from sustainably managed forests. See more about this in the about the FSC certificate.

What is FSC certified wood?

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international quality mark with strict requirements for sustainable and social forest management, supported by governments, companies and environmental organizations. It guarantees that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests. The FSC quality mark sets strict requirements, namely: 

1. Forests with a high nature value and vulnerable forest areas are left alone.

2. Logging along watercourses and on steep slopes is not allowed due to the risk of erosion.

3. After felling trees, the forest must be given the opportunity to recover: no more wood should disappear than can grow.

In addition to forest management requirements, FSC also applies social requirements. FSC ensures sufficient wages and responsible working conditions for forest workers. This helps combat poverty and prevents residents from having to resort to illegal logging and burning of forests for agricultural land in order to survive. How can I maintain my bed?

For regular cleaning, it is sufficient to wipe it with a slightly damp cloth.

The following applies to Walnut and Oak natural:

For cleaning using soap and other products against stains, we recommend Rubio Monocoat products, which can be ordered online in several web shops. Always follow the instructions for using the product. The soap that you can use for more intensive cleaning is the Surface Care Soap (spray). Monocoat has the Grease Remover spray to remove grease stains. For a thorough freshening of the wood, with an extra protective layer, you can use Universal Maintenance Oil. If the wood needs thorough maintenance with a new layer of oil (we expect this after about 3 to 4 years, but this can be determined at your own discretion), use the same Rubio Monocoat oil that was used to finish your bed. and prepare the bed as prescribed by Rubio Monocoat (including degreasing, sanding).

The following applies to black oak:

Clean the wooden surface with a slightly damp cloth and rub with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use abrasives or polishes containing silicone.

Is there floor protection under the legs of the bed?

Yes, the 18° bed has specially applied felt that serves as a floor protector. The felt is incorporated into each leg and protrudes approximately 2 to 3 mm. You have the option to remove the felt yourself.

Can I cancel my order?

Once you have placed an online order, we will start processing the order and preparing it for shipment. If you still want to cancel the order, please contact as soon as possible . 

I have not received an order confirmation

After every online order, an order confirmation is automatically sent to the e-mail address you provided. Always check the spam inbox to see if it can be found there. If you cannot find the order confirmation, please contact us at

Can I track my order?

Once you have placed an order, you will receive an automatic confirmation email indicating that we will contact you to coordinate the delivery day and time. This will of course always be confirmed by email.

What should I do if I cannot personally receive my order?

If someone else receives your order, we will ask that person to show proof of identity of the original recipient and his/her own proof of identity.


How long do you provide a warranty?

All Selé products come with a 2-year warranty.

How do I make an appointment at the studio?

Which payment methods can I use?

You can pay with iDEAL, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

Do the amounts on the website include VAT?
